ZECK's Dolfin is the fastest IBC heater with sensitive product protection. It gets to the heart of the matter and heats directly into the product and right into the outlet valve to get that batching process underway in a fraction of the time of traditional heating systems.
Because of this we can heat an IBC in a much faster time than any heating blanket or heated jacket can do, increasing efficiency and reducing batching time and down-time.

The Dolfin puts heat directly where
it is needed.
The thermodynamic core pushes heat at over 13m/s along the entire length of the finned area. This is not just conduction but utilises a high-speed transfer system as used in satellite and space-craft technology, bringing high performance to an industrial application. With such a boost, heating rates can be up to 4 times that seen with traditional heating methods.
Unlike normal immersion heaters, the ZECK Dolfin (named because of the fin array on the main heating section), spreads the heat over a surface area approaching 1 square metre in direct contact with the fluid. When heating products sensitive to thermal damage, it is important to note the material's Max Thermal Absorption Rate. The ZECK Dolfin keeps the power density to below 0.3 W/sq. cm in all cases This is crucial for sensitive products, a few highlighted in the table below.
ZECK's Dolfin exhibits uniform heat along its length.
One of the key features of the thermodynamic core is that it is isothermal. What does this mean? It means that along the whole length, the temperature is evenly distributed. With a normal immersion heater, as the liquid lowers in the IBC and uncovers the heating element, the element gets extremely hot. This damages the product and eventually burns out the element. It is like running a kettle with no water in. In some cases, it has been known for uncovered immersion heaters to explode, whereas there is no possibility of such a catastrophe in a ZECK Dolfin.
Solid State Reliability
We only use tried and trusted technology, Solid State power and heating devices that have a very long lifetime and are fully encapsulated.
We don't use trace heating as it just wouldn't be up to the job. We don't use fragile ceramic heaters and our power control is rated to take 150% of its maximum current, just to ensure the system has a very long lifetime.
