Designed specifically for flanges, either on pipes or on other process equipment, the Omega digital, plug & play, carbon zero process heater packs power into those troublesome areas.
The OmegaLimpet is a thermostatically
controlled single channel heater attached to an omega -shaped adapter block which bolts on to a flange and provides instant, controlled heat.
Flanges on pipes, pumps, valves, meters and other industrial process equipment are notorious for freezing up in cold weather and are challenging to heat using traditional heating systems, such as electrical trace heating or hot water.
No Control Panel Required
The AlphaLimpet incorporates a fixed temperature internal thermostat, built within the heater block, This built-in high performance system achieves all this without a control panel.
Great Heat Transfer
The adapter block also serves as an effective heat storage device, thereby enhancing the mass of heat flow into the workpiece under varying cooling loads. We make a range of standard adaptor blocks that will fit common flange diameters, but we can also produce custom-profiled diameters if required.
The blocks slide over the pipe and then over the flange and bolted in place.
Effective on Process Equipment
Whilst designed primarily for pipework flanges, any process equipment that has a flange can make use of this heating method for the process equipment too, as heat transference can often be achieved into the device with an Omega at each side.
